Aubrey and I attended the last meeting of the Transylvania County Handcrafters Guild in order to have our work juried in hopes of joining. We are very excited to have been accepted as new members of the guild. We will be in the upcoming show December 4-5 at the American Legion building in Brevard. This will be the last show of the year for us and the last chance to get some unique Christmas gifts for the special people on your shopping list. Hope to see you there! Well, our first Art Show has come and gone... Overall a good experience for us. We were a little disappointed that none of the art we had on display sold during the show, but it definately created a lot of interest in our work. We were also upset that we couldn't attend the 'meet and greet' reception since that was the weekend we were in Las Vegas. We were looking forward to hearing what people had to say about our work and maybe getting some suggestions for new pieces. The turn out for the reception this year was very good, 80 people attended. And we felt a little better about not selling anything after finding out that only 2 pieces sold the entire month, which is very unusual but given the state of the economy not surprising.
